We owe a lot to our hosts at Coram’s Fields, and it’s always a pleasure for our Scouts to support their annual fireworks display, this year selling merchandise and collecting donations.

Nine of our Scouts took part in the Chiltern 20 Challenge navigation competition in mid-October. We joined 400 Scouts and 85 teams for a day’s hiking in the Chiltern Hills. We were a long way short of coming home with any silverware, but everyone had a good day in the fresh air!

Eight of our Scouts took part in North London Scout District’s survival camp, building shelters and cooking on an open fire for 24 hours. The event took place at Danemead Campsite in Hertfordshire.

Our Cub Scouts returned to Fairmead campsite in Epping Forest in September for their annual camp. Shelter building in the forest, a hike to the nearby hunting lodge and cooking burgers on open fires were all on the agenda.

Six of our Scouts took part in a range of activities at ESSA Water Activities Centre as part of the North London Scout District sailing day in September.
